Magnus would do anything for Taako. During their time in Hadriel, however, thanks to the gods messing with ghosts of their past, Taako killed Magnus' late wife in order to stop her from draining his life completely. Magnus' image of Taako as someone he trusts implicitly is still recovering, but afterward, when Taako and Merle both disappeared from Hadriel for a couple weeks, Magnus quickly realized that a life without either of them is empty of meaning.

Taako and Magnus spent a month without Merle and, even though he couldn't heal them even if he still had his God given powers, nothing quite felt right in the party balance until he arrived. He fell back into step with them like he was never gone, and though he was accessory to the same hiccups that his Magnus' relationship with Taako after Julia's ghost appeared, Magnus would never trade everyone's favorite weed grandpa for anyone else.

Magnus and Ellie hit it off right away, both of them exchanging nicknames in their first conversation. Magnus has never once called her "Ellie" since, and the two of them have had some pretty wild shared experiences in Hadriel. This all ended up blowing up when Ellie came out in defense of the gods, who Magnus sought revenge on. In the end, Ellie's untimely death at the indirect hands of the Null made Magnus realize how important the gods were for keeping his friends safe, regardless of how they toy with their emotions, and Magnus completely turned around his opinions for her sake.

Alphys, at first, reminded Magnus faintly of Carey solely for her apperance, which endeared her to him right away. She is one of the people in the cave that met Julia in happier times, and for that, she holds a special place in Magnus' heart. When her friends left for good suddenly, Magnus saw a lot of his own loss in her, and has thus made it his mission to make Alphys happy at every opportunity.

We have to stop meeting like this!!!! Really, though, Elena seems cool, and Magnus deeply empathizes with the struggles she's already had in Hadriel. It only takes meeting Magnus once for him to decide he wants to protect you from the worst of the cave, and Elena has left Magnus with a good impression.

Seems like a nice guy, especially considering Magnus is in and out of the clinic often, being the type to constantly take hits for others. When Rosen put out a call for help in crafting toys for any children that appear in the city, Magnus gladly took the chance to help out.

Honestly, this guy makes Magnus feel very judged. It's just something about cops. Magnus innately distrusts authority, and the fact that the City Guard is a self appointed authority doesn't leave the greatest taste in his mouth. Still, Henry (or "Hotspur") has never given Magnus a reason to dislike him necessarily, despite his straight laced personality, so Magnus tentatively trusts the safety of the city with him.

A pleasant person with great taste in wooden animals. Saber and Magnus have done some sparring for fun in the past, and the two have gotten along pretty well.

She's got a real dog that isn't half lizard!!! She also seems incredibly nice, though Magnus might have made a weird impression on her as he met her while on his 18th shot of Delight's energy drink mixed with Jagermeister.
